Wall hanging of a Seamstress at work on her pedal sewing machine. A quiet domestic scene made powerful by the confident, gestural lines carved into the durable stoneware clay. Energetic yet contemplative. Note the rough edges formed when flattening the raw clay which the artist intentionally did not smooth out. Stained with iron oxide to enhance the carved lines. Kiln fired over 2100F. Unglazed. Ready to hang.
